You may not have heard of BIM, so to explain, BIM is simply an acronym for Building Information Modelling or Building Information Model. However, mostly being refer to it as BIM.

bim5It describes the process of designing a building collaboratively using one coherent system of computer models rather than as separate sets of drawings.

3D BIM allows a virtual building model to be created from which all of the building information can be extracted, and shared with other consultants.
